I am a HCPC registered Clinical Psychologist and I have been working in mental health for the last 10 years and directly with people experiencing homelessness in South Yorkshire for the last two years. Throughout my career I have specialised in compound trauma, providing psychological therapy to support people of all ages to come to terms with the impact of trauma. I have facilitated better understanding of the effects of trauma on behaviour, relationships, and engagement in staff teams through training and reflective practice. I have worked across the NHS, statutory and third-sector, including drug and alcohol services, public health teams and charities of varying sizes.
I am passionate about collaborating with individuals and teams to solve problems and create more compassionate and effective ways of working.
I am an accredited coach, passionate about providing support to those delivering services as well as the people accessing them.
I have spent the last decade of my career supporting people experiencing homelessness. I have worked in the third sector and statutory services developing a working knowledge of homelessness and housing legislation, delivering specialist housing, benefit and debt advice; providing representation, casework and advocating on behalf of those experiencing homelessness and multiple exclusion.
In my work I combine coaching methodology and trauma informed approaches with working knowledge and practical experience supporting individuals to secure and sustain accommodation to leave homelessness behind.
